Fallen: Here’s All That Sohum Shah Had To Go Through To Portray A Cop In His Next With Sonakshi Sinha And Vijay Varma - EXCLUSIVE
While Sohum had to gain weight for his role of a politician in ‘Maharani’, he had to immediately shed those extra kilos for ‘Fallen’ which will see the actor portraying the role of a cop for the first time. The prolific actor has time and again treated the audiences with his hard-hitting and realistic characters as he believes in opting for author-backed roles instead of portraying larger-than-life characters on screen.

He has blown the mind of the audiences with his extraordinary performances as a greedy Vinayak Rao in Tumbbad, the outspoken and supportive Viren Shah in ‘The Big Bull’, a politician in ‘Maharani.  The actor has nailed all his characters with great aplomb, which has left a lasting impression on the audience.  Looks like he is yet to do the same with his next Fallen.

A source close to the actor informs, “Sohum takes his roles very seriously. For ‘Maharani’, the actor had gone through a physical transformation and gained 12 kilos to resemble a politician in the show. Just after that, he had to lose weight for ‘Fallen’ since he essays the role of a cop.  Though the transformation process was a little difficult for the actor as he had few days to get into shape, he was quite charged to take up the challenge and has lost around 5-7kgs to get into the skin of it.”

“While his cop look from ‘Fallen’ has certainly drawn praises from his co-stars and unit members, Sohum can’t wait for the show to launch and let all the action unfold,” the source adds.

Besides ‘Fallen’, Sohum will be seen in a silent untitled film, produced by Luv Ranjan along with Nushrratt Bharuccha, Konkona Sen Sharma and Nora Fatehi.
